Semuliki national park is quite an interesting bird’s haven with over 441 bird species stirring up the magic in the steaming male and female hot springs of Sempaya right below the rift valley, having an egg boiled on a few seconds bringing you a feel of the real nature blessing and curiosity killed off in the place. Semuliki is largely dominated by the extension of the Ituri forest of Congo which the Batwa community (pygmies) have inhabited .it was gazetted in 1932 and established as a national park in 1993.it is home to 53 mammals and has remained with its untouched beauty for years.

The best time to visit the park is in the dry season, December-February and June-august, during the dry months animals always get close to water points and so easily to be sighted by tourists whereas January –February is the preferable time for bird watching because park is not congested. The temperature in this place ranges from 180c-300c though the nights tend to be cooler.

Activities to carry on include birding, hiking to the hot springs, cultural experiences, game drives, and nature among others.
