Murchison falls national park is part of the greater Murchison falls conservation area and registered the largest & oldest national park in Uganda. The park offers a variety of wildlife encounters including four of the big five, Patas monkeys, giraffes, Jacksons hartebeest, a variety of bird species for those good at birding and many more in the savanna plains of the northern sector, a magnificent view of the greatest waterfalls through a 7m wide gorge, an amazing scenery of the beautiful cliffs that harbor a variety of bird species
Day 1 Kampala – Murchison falls national park, Rhino Trekking and Top of Falls tour
- After an early breakfast, departure from the residence around 7:00 am, and drive to ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY.in Nakasongola district for rhino tracking
- Will have a stopover in Masindi town for lunch before we head into the park
- Proceed to Murchison Falls via Budongo, where you will encounter some primates including chimpanzees, olive baboons, and black and white colobus monkeys, and via the spectacular Murchison Falls with a dramatic water flow that forms a form like blanket. Shall then drive to the facility for accommodation
- Arrive at the lodge ,refreshments,any leisure activity at the lodge
Day 2 Early morning game drive and after noon launch cruise to the bottom of the falls
- Early wake up at 6:00am for a cup of tea/coffee before heading for a game drive experience with our experienced and expert guides in nature interpretation and enjoyable experience in the northern sector of Murchison falls national park
- The early morning hours give chances of encountering elusive nocturnal which is always active by that time. i.e. lions, solitary leopards, jackals, antelopes, giraffes and many more wildlife encounters in the savanna plains. This will take 3 to 4 hours
- Return to the lodge for breakfast and any refreshments
- After lunch set off for a 3-hour launch cruise on the Victoria Nile at the Paraa landing site to the base of the falls. This offers a variety of beautiful sceneries and wildlife sightings, including, elephants swimming, water barks cooling, schools of hippos, the largest Nile crocodile species and many bird species.
- Return to the lodge for refreshments and dinner.
Day 3-Travel back to Kampala
- Enjoy your breakfast, check out of you lodge, and have a leisurely drive back to Kampala end of our 3-day safari wildlife tour in Murchison Falls
